Last week we took him along to 'Art on the Prom'- a popular art exhibition along the promenade in Felixstowe. There were quite a few people, quite a few dogs, and quite a few pieces of art which he could have easily destroyed.
There must be something about public events though- as he was perfectly well behaved. He trotted along beside us, and was very polite when he met other creatures (he didn't quite shake their paws but was as polite as dogs can be!). We met a puppy schnoodle (a schnuazer cross poodle) as well as a 5 year old mini schnauzer- though this one was grey in colour. It was a great day for us and Milo.
The event organisers had even placed dog water bowls strategically along the route due to the hot weather- awesome!
Nina said the other day, 'maybe he's so well behaved because we trust him.' I almost went into the philosophy of the argument by suggesting 'the only reason we trust is because he's so well behaved', but maybe she has a point? Constant praise for good behaviour and trusting him at public events seems to be working well for the moment. Let's hope it continues!
